In 2012, four more children supported by Talemwa Initiative entered Kaliro High School, bringing the total number in Secondary Education to 10 children.
As the programme expanded, so too did the need for someone local to oversee it on a day-to-day basis. Finding trustworthy, local committed Christians to take on this role represented a huge challenge.
Fortunately, this issue was resolved in April 2012 when retired Church of Uganda Bishop David Sebuhinja – known to the trustees for several years – agreed to take on this role.
In 2013, we began working with schoolteachers to improve morale and encourage their commitment to instil and inspire aspiration in vulnerable children.
